I have never stopped being a student. Some of it was formal. Most of it was not. School, seminars, mentors, books, expensive mistakes and long conversations all count.

Status on this page is deliberately honest. Started is not finished, and owned is not read.

The library holds 143 titles. Individual titles are being added here with an accurate status rather than listed all at once, because owning a book and finishing it are two different things.

The areas that have taken most of my attention over the years.

Formal education

Community college beginning in 1988, an associate's degree in 1990, and a psychology degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Psychology

My degree, and still the lens I use most. People do not make decisions the way org charts and spreadsheets assume they do.

Sales and negotiation

Decades of commercial and residential selling, plus sales management. Selling well is mostly listening, and negotiating well is mostly preparation.

Investing

Tax liens, multifamily real estate, private money and creative finance. Learned by study first, then by doing, then by paying for the parts I got wrong.

Business education

Courses, seminars, training programs and a long list of workshops. Some were worth ten times the price. Some taught me what not to buy again.

Philosophy and history

Aristotle, Plato, Nietzsche, Churchill. Old questions and long records are useful precisely because they are not about this quarter.

Mentors and people

The largest part of my education never came with a certificate. It came from people who were willing to explain what they knew.

Health and longevity

An ongoing study. Energy is the input for everything else on this site.

Creativity

Inherited from my dad, then practiced. Building things, making media, and figuring out how ideas get made real.

AI

Learning it by using it every day, not by reading about it. That is the only way this one works.
